Think like a Chauffeur or Uber Driver . . .

Dear Colleagues

Do you have trouble adapting to change?  Let’s be sure that you still have a plan before getting in the car to drive.

In my case for someone who has absolutely NO sense of direction, I do not leave the house without either Google in my cell phone, my GPS Garmin in the car, written directions, or all 3. This is the plan.

This plan may have change WITH THE ABILITY to adapt ON THE FLY to road closures, traffic accidents, detours, current weather conditions etc,  but will still arrive at the intended destination (at least ideally!). The plan STILL moves in a forward direction to achieve the objective of getting to the final destination; the details of how the plan may have to be adapted or adjusted to current road conditions may change.

So, are you a good driver? Can you adapt to changing conditions in the moment?  Good lessons here!

I welcome your thoughts.

Change has become my daily experience and I have to continually embrace it because it is inevitable. If I try to fight it, I will just get frustrated and overwhelmed. Therefore, I say welcome and how can we work together today?
