2011 Spring Edition of The Refractive Thinker® Series

Good morning all.

Happy 2011!  As our new year gets underway, we are once again looking ahead to the next edition of The Refractive Thinker® series.

With the popularity of our Volume II: Research Methodology, we will be offering this volume in its second edition.  The goal of this volume is to offer doctoral students and faculty a resource guide for methodologies.  The Refractive Thinker®is not intended to be another textbook that simply defines the various methodologies.  Instead, the goal is to offer an application of their use.  For example, our first edition of Vol. II offered The Delphi Primer—which offered a 3-chapter combination for students/faculty to see 3 different applications of the Delphi Method.

The goal for this second edition is to expand the methodologies that Vol II offers.  We would love to include both the case study and ethnography options in particular.  With the global reach of The Refractive Thinker® Family, please forward this email and invite your colleagues and doctoral student graduates to submit their abstracts via email (drcheryllentz@gmail.com) for consideration for inclusion.  Unusual applications of methodologies are encouraged.

We will begin accepting abstracts starting next week, January 10th until January 24th.  Again, the focus is on the methodology of the data extraction for a doctoral dissertation.

As we have done in the past, there will be a Peer Review Board with both a content and APA Editor for review.  In addition, there will also be a Refractive Thinker®: Vol II Advisory Panel consisting of 5 members for this specific volume.

Thank you for getting the word out.  Updates to all social media will be available shortly.

 Cheers!

 Cheryl
