Tips for Dissertation Publishing

Hello all.

A few tips for publishing your dissertation.

(1) First, take a look at your content of each chapter of the process.  What themes emerged that would be a wonderful foundation for future articles?  There may be multiple articles in each chapter.

(2) Second, dig deeper, what might you have wanted to say and simply either didn’t have time, or perhaps took a different path?  Remember the dissertation is not the end of your doctoral publishing career but the beginning.  Where could you go from here?

(3) Third, talk with your committee, your colleagues, and your editor.  What was of the most interest to them?  What topics sparked their attention and captured their interest?  Think of the importance of what you learned from the perspective of your reader.

I found this video below that may be also of interest. Pay close attention to their #10.

Happy thinking!
